Reception logos
Illuminated Reception Logos for Feature Walls
A lit logo behind the reception desk is often the first thing a visitor sees and the last thing they remember. Illuminated reception logos are 3D letters and marks, backlit or face-lit, built to sit on a feature wall in an office, showroom, clinic or hotel lobby. They suit businesses that want a polished first impression that still reads clearly in daylight.
- Backlit or face-lit 3D logos
- Crisp metal and acrylic detail
- Matched to interior finishes
- Dimmable for the room

Where illuminated reception logos work best
Reception logos belong where people wait, arrive or are met:
- Corporate offices, law firms and financial services
- Hotels, lodges and serviced apartment lobbies
- Clinics, medical centres and dental practices
- Showrooms, dealerships and studios
- Banks, call centres and co-working spaces
- Boardrooms and corridors where the brand is meant to be seen
If the logo does not need to glow, a non-lit corporate wall logo is simpler and cheaper. For the wider reception picture including desk fascia and wording, see office reception signs.
Design options
Illuminated reception logos are made in several styles:
- Halo-lit: a solid metal logo with LEDs behind, creating a soft glow on the wall
- Face-lit: an acrylic-faced logo that lights up as a bright mark
- Dual-lit: face and halo together for depth
- Edge-lit acrylic: a clear or frosted panel lit through its edge
- Neon-style: flexible LED tube that gives a neon look for script and informal brands
Depth, standoff from the wall, scale and fixing are agreed with the interior designer or building manager. Smaller marks usually read better with a stronger glow, while larger logos can use softer effects.
Materials and finishes
Interior logos can use finishes that would not suit outdoor use: brushed or polished stainless steel, brass, painted aluminium, fine-grained acrylic and layered materials. A mirror-finish edge catches light and adds a premium look; a matte powder-coat hides fingerprints. Wall finish matters as much as the logo, because a wall that is textured, glossy or dark changes the halo effect. Samples are best viewed on or near the wall. See materials and finishes.
Lighting options
Interior lighting can be warmer and softer than outdoor sign lighting. We select LED colour temperature to suit the room and the brand: warm white for hospitality, neutral or cool white for corporate and clinical settings. Dimmable drivers let the logo glow brightly for evening events and lower during the working day. Colour-changing options are subject to technical assessment and confirmed availability.
Consider the room lighting too. A logo that looks excellent in a dimmed lobby can look washed out under bright overhead lights, so we check the actual conditions at survey.
Illuminated logos compared with neighbouring options
Corporate wall logos are the unlit equivalent, ideal for corridors and boardrooms. Choose illuminated when the logo is the focal point of a lobby or when light levels are low. Halo-lit letters and dual-lit channel letters are the same construction methods shown for exteriors, scaled and detailed for interiors.
Edge-lit acrylic signs suit a flatter, floating look. LED neon flex signs fit a more relaxed, creative setting. For a wall of recognition rather than a logo, see employee recognition walls.
Technical considerations
- Viewing distance and size: as a rough guide, many designers allow around 25 mm of letter height per 10 m of viewing distance. Reception logos are viewed from a few metres, so size is usually decided by wall proportions.
- Contrast: the logo must stand clear of the wall colour in both lit and unlit states.
- Mounting surface: drywall, brick, glass and feature cladding need different fixings. We check what is behind the wall for services.
- Electrical access: power supplies and drivers must be accessible but hidden. A concealed cable route or junction is planned at survey, and a qualified electrician may be needed.
- Light spill and glare: avoid hot spots on glossy walls and reflections on screens.
- Weather exposure: mostly indoors, but entrances near doors and glass may need to deal with dust and condensation.
- Access and approvals: structural, electrical and building-management approvals are checked at survey and design stage. Tenants may need landlord or body corporate consent before drilling into walls; we do not promise compliance in advance.
What affects the price
- Size and complexity of the logo
- Material and finish, such as stainless steel, brass or painted aluminium
- Lighting method: halo, face-lit, dual or edge-lit
- Dimming, controllers and any colour-changing features
- Wall construction and fixing method
- Concealed power and cabling
- Installation height and access
- Quantity if several logos are needed
Quotations are based on the brief, artwork and survey.
Care and maintenance
Dust the logo with a soft dry cloth and clean faces with a lightly dampened cloth, avoiding solvents. Do not hang items on the letters. If one letter dims or flickers, switch off at the isolator and arrange a check. LED signage repairs and our maintenance service are available.

Frequently asked questions
Is a halo or face-lit logo better for reception?
Halo gives a soft, premium glow on a solid logo. Face-lit is brighter and easier to read in a bright room. We explain the trade-off using your wall and lighting.
Can the logo be dimmed?
Yes, on most builds. Dimming lets you adjust the brightness for the time of day.
Can you match brand colours?
We can match painted finishes closely. Lit colours depend on the LED and face, and we confirm on a sample.
Do I need landlord permission?
If you lease the space, you may need consent to fix to the wall. We recommend asking early and we can supply drawings.
Can I take the logo with me if I move?
Often, yes, although fixings and wall repairs need planning. We can also discuss removal and replacement.
