Van branding
Delivery Van Branding That Advertises on Every Route
Delivery van branding turns the large, flat sides of a panel van into a moving advertisement. We design and fit full and partial wraps, lettering, rear graphics and reflective details that make your business visible at every stop and in every queue of traffic.
It suits courier, food, retail, trade and service businesses that depend on vans and want a consistent, professional presence on the road.
- Large flat panels for impact
- Rear and side layouts
- Consistent fleet look
- Reflective details available

Where delivery van branding works best
Vans are among the best vehicles to brand because the side panels are large and mostly flat.
- Courier and parcel delivery operators
- Food, bakery, catering and grocery deliveries
- Retail and e-commerce fulfilment vans
- Trade vehicles carrying tools and materials
- Service and maintenance vans
- Hire and rental vans with consistent branding
A branded van is seen at every stop, in every traffic jam and in every parking lot, so it works as advertising wherever the route goes.
Design options
Typical van layouts include:
- Full wrap: the whole body in printed film, see Full Car Wraps.
- Side panel wraps: large printed graphics on the sliding door and body sides.
- Rear door graphics: bold logo and contact details for following traffic.
- Lettering and logo: a lower-cost layout in cut vinyl, see Vehicle Lettering and Decals.
- Roof graphics: where seen from above, such as parking structures.
- Fleet numbering: vehicle IDs to help dispatch and customer queries.
Design should be built on the actual van model, taking in ribs, handles, hinges and sliding door tracks. Good designs keep the main message away from ribs and shut lines.
Materials and finishes
Panel vans have many surface types, and film must suit them.
- Cast wrap vinyl for curved areas, ribs and recesses.
- Calendered vinyl for flat, simple panels where this suits.
- Print and laminate systems for full-colour graphics.
- Reflective vinyl for rear and side visibility, see Reflective Vehicle Graphics.
- Perforated window film where side or rear glass is branded and suitable.
Some vans have unpainted or textured plastic parts, such as bumpers and trims, which take film differently. We check these during inspection.
Lighting and visibility
Van graphics are not lit. Contrast and reflective details provide visibility, particularly at night when vans work early and late. Keep lights, indicators, number plates and required reflectors clear, and check any rules that apply to your vehicle class.
How van branding compares with related options
Choose delivery van branding when the vehicle is a panel van and branding is a route-based advertising tool. For other needs:
- Bakkie Branding suits open load bins and canopies.
- Truck Branding suits larger trucks and trailers.
- Partial Vehicle Wraps brand key panels on a smaller budget.
- Fleet Branding and Rollouts manage many vans.
- Vehicle Branding Removal handles resale or rebrand.
If your vans change often, start with lettering. If the vans are a long-term brand asset, a wrap delivers more impact.
Technical considerations
Viewing distance and size. As a rough guide, many designers allow around 25 mm of letter height per 10 m of viewing distance. Key text on van sides should be large enough for readability from the kerb.
Panel shape. Ribs, sliding door gaps and handles break up flat surfaces. Designs should flow across them without cutting important text.
Paint condition. Film should go on sound paint. We inspect for rust, flaking paint and repairs.
Downtime. Vans earn money on the road. We plan fitment around your schedule, and a fleet can be done in batches.
Rules. Commercial vehicles may need prescribed markings, and registered colour changes may need updating. Check with the relevant authority.

Care and maintenance
Hand wash vans with a soft mitt and mild shampoo, and avoid automatic brush washes and pressure jets aimed at edges. Keep fuel and chemical spills off the film. Rinse road dirt regularly, especially on rear doors. Check edges, especially around the sliding door, and repair lifting early. When vans are sold or rebranded, see Vehicle Branding Removal.
